Because the EPA tests all the cars evenly and the manufacturers use EPA's ratings. You need a wake up call.

we should switch over to the metric system. It's easier all you have to do it move the decimal place over one. look, you've not been taught how to convert everything in the metric system.
*check you spelling and I think your on your way to being banned again!

An auto company like Toyota would never falsify their mileage numbers, right? Ever?

Since you're arguably the best patriot on this site, fighting communism, socialism, and for truth, justice and the American way, how do you feel that exporting Just and Truthful American Greenbacks and GDP to Aichi, Japan helps the United States of America exactly?

Caleb02, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

so you believe that america is going to switch to the devils metric system? Besides a 2L of Pepsi and your engine size in Liters what else do you buy in liters? The answer is nothing... not milk, not mulch, no toothpaste, no condoms! America has been well served by the English system, we have used it for over 200 plus years why change now.... So i take it you are part of the vast left wing media elite...

No, I was quoting the movie Billy Madison, because everything you say on here is simply moronic.

Question for you, Caleb.

Why would a Pepsi be be measured in Litres, engine displacement in litres, when they could easily say that it's a 67 ounce Pepsi, or your engine is 140 cubic inches?

Why are those the only exceptions?

Oh and I like buying condoms that are size 6,897.

good one on the condoms....
I love all things conservative American! I think america was founded by God to be the leader of the free world. Laterly america has fallen because of liberals invading our country and thus forcing us to make garbage cars. that is why foreign cars from japan are the standard americans judge by.

thats not making much of a statement. theyre just using the SAME EPA NUMBERS
to know how much a car really gets the only real way to know is to talk to the drivers themselves.

The official EPA 2009 Fuel Economy Guide.

Here, since you get lost so easily, is the exact link you need.

Part of your massive error here is you failed to look up the [1] [2] notes that Toyota uses with that number. Of course they put the best number they can up front and large - its your job to understand correctly what they are saying - and to read all of indicated material.

Yes, Toyota doesn't follow normal convention concerning those indicated notations and put them on the same screen or anything else similiar - no surprise afterall this is Toyota so there is always going to an attempt to spin the presentation.

Toyota

15 MPG CITY EST. [1] [2]
On the page you linked for Toyota, you can click on the notations and get a definition.

Here is [1]:

2008 EPA-estimated mileage. For Model Year 2008, the EPA has revised the way the estimated fuel economy ratings is are determined. Actual mileage will vary. To learn more, visit the Department of Energy’s and EPA’s fuel economy Web site.

and with the crown vic according to your own numbers the Crown Vic still is bigger then the 300c.... so who is the one that is accurate here man..... I take it you must work for the liberal media elite. Also the 300c does even look to be as large as the Crown Vic. Plus alot of people like the looks of the crown vic or ford would not be selling them hand over fist to people....
No, I don't work for the liberal media elite - unless you think membership in the NRA qualifies. You wildly overstated the difference - is that why we're changing subjects here ?????

Re: GM + Chrysler: What it may look like post-merger

GM + Chrysler may look like this (+ Saturn, Saab, Hummer):

I'm in retail, and i think that the possible GM-Chrysler merger will look like the merger of Sears and Kmart: two declining companies together but still having too many outdated stores, losing market share and being passed by strong retailers like Wal-Mart, Target and Lowe's.

nra is the most liberal of all the media groups out their, even more so then the house speaker Queen Nancy Pelosi

Toyota mpg and the ford mpg i listed are the most fuel efficient model of their line for the tundra and the f150
