Re: CNBC/ saving GM series premiers Aug 6
Nice to hear (If you can hear him) Lutz admitt to GM's mistakes and failures. That's the strong key for better products.
What kind of bugged me was when Wagnor said China is GM's jewel.

Re: CNBC/ saving GM series premiers Aug 6
I've never cared for Rick Wagoner, to be honest. I was quite upset with that comment, as well.
Lutz admit more than his ego usually does in company flaws, but stopped short of being candidly honest. He said that GM's products are just as good as Toyotas and Hondas. Some are, yes...but why don't we compare the Aveo to the Fit. Yeaah.

![]() That's what I was thinking. My friend just leaned over and said "Seriously...are they shooting themselves in the foot AGAIN with this car? People already think you need a mullet to drive one of these, do they really want Nascar associated with it?"

Re: CNBC/ saving GM series premiers Aug 6
Lord now they're yapping about the Camaro.
I thought this show was focusing on saving GM. The Camaro, as appealing as it is, ain't gonna fit that bill... I didn't realize exactly HOW MUCH of the Camaro's design was done by Holden.

I admit they are focusing a little more on the Camaro than I would like (I'd like to see more focus on the future of small cars), but I want the Camaro bad. Probably won't be able to afford it, though. I like that they showed them doing that long road test, and when that god-awful blinker went off, the guy goes "Yeah, that's the one for now...but it won't be there tomorrow!" Shows that they are dedicated.

Oh, it's going to get heated in the next segment.
A lot of Camaro info and behind the scenes stuff for the Camaro nerds...Big Al, I'm looking your way.

Re: CNBC/ saving GM series premiers Aug 6
"...makes the G6 and the Malibu, two of the best selling cars in America."
The Malibu, maybe...I doubt fleet sales for the G6 count .That worker speaks the truth. Seriously. The workers are taking lay offs and pay cuts, while the CEOs are getting bonuses back. I don't care if you like the UAW or not, but that's just not right...$16 million dollars for Wagoner when the company lost $23 million. Sorry pal, you're not worth that.

Re: CNBC/ saving GM series premiers Aug 6
I like that UAW guy's attitude. He's very realistic, pointing out that while it's unfortunate that people lose their jobs, it's a part of life that others outside the UAW encounter, and live to tell about.
And ewwwww some of those plant workers were mighty scuzzy lookin'!
