What's the difference between a bitch and a whore? A whore has sex with everybody- A bitch has sex with everybody but you.

Re: CNBC/ saving GM series premiers Aug 6
I'm watching it right now. It looks like it's going to be pretty good right now.
I can't help but wonder how much those old raisins in suits are getting paid while the company drowns. LOL, they just showed a G6 as "exciting".

Saving General Motors on CNBC
"Saving General Motors" will Premiere on August 6th on CNBC
Companies:General Motors Corp All Times are in ET. "Saving General Motors" will premiere on Wednesday, August 6th at 9PM and 1AM (pre-empting the 1AM airing of "The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch"). The documentary re-airs on Sunday, August 10th at 10PM. General Motors is the quintessential American industrial icon, a symbol of U.S. manufacturing might for nearly a century, a Dow component and the country's largest car company. For decades, its divisions have produced many of the best known and most popular vehicles ever made, from the most pedestrian Chevrolets to the flashiest Buicks and Cadillacs, to today's ubiquitous SUV's and pickup trucks. Today, GM – like American manufacturing itself – is relentlessly challenged by low-cost and high-quality foreign competition, burdened with bland products, and staggered by crushing labor and retiree costs. Market share over the past decades has plummeted; new GM products are attracting ever fewer buyers, and much of its present portfolio is based on gas-guzzling SUV's and trucks, a strategy that could prove disastrous as fuel prices continue to rise. Can GM turn itself around? Could GM actually fail? What would that look like? ......... http://www.cnbc.com/id/26031859/?__s...ext%7C&par=aol

Re: CNBC/ saving GM series premiers Aug 6
For anyone who hasn't been watching, they've been doing very well. Even you hypersensitive ones who think GM gets bashed constantly might like this.
They've had CR on there saying that GM has made profound changes. I'm really enjoying this documentary. I have a newfound respect for Lutz. He's pretty honest. The only thing I've not cared for that he answered was when asked if the current GM cars are as good as the competition. He quickly said yes, they are, and pointed to the CTS and the Malibu. Whuile they are just as good, there's still some work to be done on the cheaper vehicles.

Re: CNBC/ saving GM series premiers Aug 6
Ugh, they should not have shown the '59 Cadillac....makes me weep for the current state of things--I'm talking about the fact that the only car Cadillac has now is an entry-level luxury car. And to think, the '59 wasn't even Cadillac's finest hour; it was close, very close, but the V16 Cadillacs of the 1930s were just the most impressive automobiles GM has ever put to the road.

Re: CNBC/ saving GM series premiers Aug 6
This is a pretty fair documentary. At least they're showing both the good and bad.

Re: CNBC/ saving GM series premiers Aug 6
That red-leathered Caddy was absolutely beautiful.
I'm happy they showed both the good and the horrifically bad. And now the new good. I seriously am liking this quite a bit. Makes me want to switch sides again .

Re: CNBC/ saving GM series premiers Aug 6
Sorry but I have been here for a month,
"Saving GM" sounds more like, "been there told you that" Quality products have shown thier face, for 15 years, GM N.A. has seen that for 20 years, It is like "Saving GM" has only looked at GM Insidenews. Come on "GM"" look at "Entry Level Product" for your cure. Fuel effiencent, low priced cars, profitable for you. Not a Camaro. Not an Escalade, Entry level cars like the CIVIC, is where it is is at. Saving GM is a map to recovery, not a map to dissmiss. |

I think Lutz should have proudly shown off a '42 or new Cadillac, from the era when Cadillac represented understated, classy, luxury that exuded good taste. The '59 Caddy is so obscenely vulgar it's probably singlehandedly keeping Cadillac from succeeding in markets like Western Europe.
