I'm sure its been said already, but the biggest news to me is that the Volt will be built in the USA. I can't tell you how happy that makes me.

I totally agree Ronald that was an excellent chess move by the General to prove to our domestic hating friends and neighbors that DETROIT can have world class technology and engineering |

I wouldn't say before sliced bread....I'd say before lava lamps came along.
Which would proabably be more accurate.![]()

The release of this information just reinforces how stupid the UAW is.
"Look at us mom...we signed a new contract....here is our playbook that our coach wants us to learn..." They just don't get it.

Hmmmmm. I don't see the Dayton/Moraine plant mentioned. I wonder how near the end is for the Envoy/Trailblazer?

Re: BREAKING NEWS: UAW Details Future GM Production & Product Plans In Documents Released
LMAO..... @ the people who really believe this whole "sales pitch" the union is peddeling! Gm can close down anyone of the plants listed tomorrow and the UNION can not do anything to stop it.. Promises made by GM at contract time with regards to product and capasity always come with the added statement of "subject to market conditions" A fact the union always seems to convieniently forget to include.. It all looks good in a ratification update but isn't worth the paper or ink used to print it..
With the US economy imploding and no action by governments to stem the tide of one way free trade, I am afraid things will get worse before they get better.. With lower projected sales it is hard to believe that GM is making these pledges in good faith.. It's nothing more than window dressing to "sell" the deal to members.. Something like $100 a barrell oil can shutter a few truc/suv plants over night.. Come on Guys GM's still has 2 wheels in the ditch ... If the economy and things down't turn around and quick ... None of these promisies will mean a thing!!!! |
