Thats what I was looking for through the whole thing. Noticed all the interesting stuff but all I saw was they are done in a couple years with no replecement announced yet. I am disappointed, I like the mid size trucks. I love my Coly, I want a single cab Colorado SS with a 4.8 or 5.3, hell a turbo DI 4.3 V6 would tough too. They have the v8 for 08 Crew Cabs, why cant they put it in the single cab.

GM can't abandon this segment, Toyondissan aren't gonna quit the mid size market, they are more competitive curently.. If anything this market is gonna grow as gas prices climb. Not everybody need a Full Size truck. A Colorado and can haul a sofa or a load of mulch just fine and get better mileage while doing it. Thot's all I gotta say abou' thot. *Forest Gump voice*

Re: Big News: Leaked Future GM Product & Production Plans!

I just hope they consider dropping the price of the XLR if they're going to continue. It's an awesome car, but according to the XLR Net, the production numbers took a major nose dive last year and I've heard that they've been shutting the production line down for 2 week intervals:

The GMT-560 Topkick and Kodiak (Flint) are done in 2008? GM is going to let Navistar build them?

Re: Big News: Leaked Future GM Product & Production Plans!

Does anyone know the engine offerings for the MPV7 in 2009?
The current Lambda platform is powered by HFV6; but if the MPV7 is on the Delta platform, it could be powered by the 4-cylinder Ecotec.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like the next-gen Zafira. Either that or a Zafira-esque vehicle to replace the horrid Daewoo Rezzo/Tacuma.

If the car would get a serious look from buyers in SoCal, they should sell it here.

As for the XLR looking as fresh as a old Allante, I'd like to know where they are so common.

I'm a Pontiac die hard but they need to at least update the interior on the car if nothing else. I can't see it being competitive against the Malibu or Aura let alone any of the foreign brands. The Malibu and Aura have superior interiors. It is a crying shame to see so many Pontiac products languish. Give them some attention for heaven's sake! They need to be refreshed every now and then to keep them competitive.

Fact of the matter is, there are very few GM cars that attract Californians.
GM cars are viewed as "not fuel efficient enough," "dowdy," "old school," "gas guzzlers," "sloppily designed," "not safe enough," and just plain ugly.

GM has a few cars that could potentially attract the California buyer, but GM just doesn't put the necessary backing to get the word out in California.

Solstice, Sky, Astra, CTS, and XLR would and should do well in CA. But there's nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Despite what GM says, I think they've abandoned the CA market. They don't know it. They don't understand it. They can't sell here. And that's literally 1/3rd of the US market.
