I am guessing we will see more Active Fuel Management engines being made.

hmm yeah, does GM have to like state what they're going to use the money for exactly? I spose Congress wouldn't agree if they plan to retool and bring back the 500 ci V8 Cadillac motor

The 3.6/HF V6 line, for sure, needs to be more efficient that what it currently is right now. Too bad that GM doesn't want to add AFM to all of their OHC engines.

The only way to save Pontiac is make them sell AWD performance if they're not going RWD. Since Delta and Epsilon both support AWD, do that. If not, what's the entire point of Pontiac? I mean, really. What would be the point?

does this mean we could see a next generation rwd impala and camaro on a stretched alpha platform instead of zeta?? or would the camaro be more likely to keep on the zeta platform?? I would be all for the camaro to get alpha it would probably make it a little smaller and hopefully not so heavy, also it would make a 4 cylinder option sound much better.

"However, regardless of these revised plans, NO Alpha product will make it to the Poncho brand; it seems any plans for a RWD G6 are firmly dead."
Well thats the only one I care about... I don't need yet ANOTHER POS pushrod RWD V8, they are dead, people don't want them. People are excited about the Camaro for the V6 for instance. |

If Buick gets an Alpha car (with Zeta car rumors still floating around) I wonder if they will bring back the old Grand National and GNX badges to give the BPG channel an actual performance product of some sort.

As John Z once said, "On a Clear Day You Can See General Motors." It will be interesting to see just exactly which brand gets this Alpha product first beyond Cadillac. If Holden winds up with one, how can Pontiac not get it?
