Order Guide lists the 3.5L V6.

You are ignoring the 1FL column obviously. The 3.5L is for FLEET orders only.

He was asking if it will be flex-fuel, and if so, will they ever offer it to non-fleet.

The ordering guide doesn't mention flexfuel, but I can't imagine they'd offer two versions of the 3.5 to fleets.

I see they've dropped the 3.5 from the Aura. I would think it would cost less to manufacture than the 2.4 I4, and it's almost as economical. Maybe they'll use it in the next generation Equinox.

Re: 2009 General Motors Fleet Car & Truck Product Line Brochure Is Now Online

I like that the 6 speed auto will be standard on 4wd Tahoes and optional on 2wd. However here are the things that bother me.

1.) I hate to bring it up again but the Navigation screen issue is classic GM !!!! Spend the money and have it available in all cars especially the Epsilons. Make it fit !!!!

2.) I have come to the conclusion that the W and G body cars like the Impala, Lucerne, DTS and Lacrosse (who cares, new one is coming) will not get the 6 speed auto. What a shame because the Lucerne with a 6 speed, a 3.6 or the 4.6 would be a competitive car until the new one gets here. The Impala should have markings on floor shifter, a 6 speed and the 3.6 in LTZ form and a 6 speed in the SS and call it a day.

3.) the G6 doesnt even get the bow tie radio and some brushed aluminum or wood on center stack, it just looks plain. GM these are modest changes that cost nothing, unreal !!!!!

3.) The new Cobalt is coming, so the SS and the improved Fuel econ is a nice addition which will increase sales.

4.) Malibu and Aura should have a DI version of 3.6, a fold down armrest in rear and of course the Nav screen.

5.) I love the Vue, but they could have found a way to decrease weight by 400 to 500 pounds or even less which would improve Fuel Econ

6.) The STS is a fine car but it should have the SLS dash and also a 4.6 Northstar DI engine of 370 to 380 hp.

7.) XLR should have gotten the CTS interior retrofitted but they could have just given it a new instrument cluster.

8.) Amazing how they changed the interior on the SRX a year ago but they should have revised the exterior. They could have just changed the liftgate and make it smoother and a new nose with the new interior. Thats all this crossover needed !!!! I know a new one is coming but when ???

I know all of these changes could have not been made but its nice to see that the new models are much better like the CTS, the Lambdas and the Epsilons (except no Nav screen).

cant wait to see the new Lacrosse, Cobalt, CTS coupe and BRX. I think in two years GM will have essentially a full line up of very competitive vehicles.

make it happen, Come on GM !!!!

Re: 2009 General Motors Fleet Car & Truck Product Line Brochure Is Now Online

There is no 5.3 for a regcab Colorado, so that leaves me out of the game.

Guess i will just spend around $15k and do a LS3 swap in my 08 regcab 3.7 Colorado the way i want it done.

I want about the same power my modded C6 Vette has.

DuSpinnst you seem to be in the know, can you explain why did GM neglect to put this feature in the Epsilon cars? Why can't they just add it now? It doesn't sound that complex, or expensive to do.

Cost cutting was the reason for not having it on the Malibu in 2004. Since all the Epsilon cars still use the same seats (check the backs) there is no reason to expect the change. It would require re-doing that and GM obviously doesn't want to with Epsilon II coming in a year.

Sounds simple but when you think about it I can see why they just didn't tack it on. This is a major oversight since every other car I been in the past 15 years has this feature. Too bad we have to wait another 2-3 years for a Epsilon II Malibu.

Thanks for actually reading my post, and you are absolutely correct that was exactly what I was asking, and as you point out the ordering guide has no mention of the 3.5 being flex fuel and the engine code in it is for the gas only version.

I can see GM wanting to get an E-85 capable Malibu and no doubt some state/fed government departments will require it for thier fleets (and these are the good fleets sales), but as I said I want one for retail sale so I can buy one - just hope GM offers it.
