Re: Big Al LIVE From Monticello Motor Club!

Looks like Bob's mad skillz may have eroded just a tad...
That's gotta be some good fun, though.

Unless it's the M3 that beat Lutz.

A 21 year old in an M3 with no fear of death, probably more money than sense, and reflexes a 77 year old could never match.

Age beat Bob, not the car...

Wasn't that the challenge?

Obviously, the CTS-V won the day, but that M3 did place right among the pack, so the CTS-V is certainly not as untouchable as some people are making it out to be.

On the other hand... if you told me 15 years ago that an M3 was struggling to place among a field of Cadillac sedans, I'd be on the floor hysterically laughing.

I'd kind of like to see what would happen if Lutz took the wheel of the M3 and gave it an honest go. Or Heinricy....

THAT would be the true test. Without the driver as a constant factor there are too many variables affecting the outcomes.

Actually it is untouchable. The CTS-V beat the competition.

He seemed sensible in his interview and expressed his reservations on the capability of his car.

He has Skip Barber training.

Yes the challenge was to beat Bob in the CTS-V. So you could either beat the man or machine or both. But you said "Unless it's the M3 that beat Lutz. " which inferred that it was the car only that beat him, when it was just as likely it was the boy who beat the man...

We are both in our 50's. Have you played a reflex game lately with a 21 year old? I won't need 77 years of aging to have the crap beat out of me for reflexes, I'm done already.
