Pontiac Pursuit 05 and my Ipod??

Hi, I recently purchased an 05 pontiac pursuit se and would like to get better sound quality from my ipod. I currently use the FM transmitters because there is no mini-input jack on the stereo face or tape deck but I wonder if there is a way to attach it through hard wire? Would this be an expensive job if i took it into a Future shop or Best buy? Do they need to replace the factory stereo to do so?

Thanks

Kappa build records being preserved?

I've seen the following approximate numbers for Model Year 06-09 posted regarding the full Kappa production run from the Boxwood plant in Deleware before it was closed down earlier this year:

65,000 Solstices
35,000 Skys
7,500 Opels for export

Does anyone know if there are breakdowns by model year, type, color, options, etc? (ie. N/A vs GXP for Solstices, standard vs. Redline for Skys, colors, etc.)?

With Pontiac going away, it seems that no one is sure if this information is being preserved, which would be a real loss to future collectors, enthusiasts, historians, etc. Does anyone know if this is being archived by GM anywhere? Does anyone have contacts on the inside who might know?

For instance, I know how many second generation AMX Javeliens with the 401 engine were built by model year from 1971-74 because forward thinking people preserved the AMC build records after AMC was no more. It would be sad to think that a future owner of a Solstice or Sky might not be able to tell that same information about their car, considering we are now in the information age. Anyone know?

Have you guys noticed that Pontiac is still being included in some of the GM corporate advertising?
If you see the current Mr. Goodwrench TV spot, the Pontiac logo is there.
Some of the internet ads that they send me, like the current one touting all GM models, still has Pontiac included as well.
What gives? Would you continue to advertise a brand that is all but gone?

Looking around the net at places such as Autotrader, I'm seeing what look like pretty reasonable prices for the 5.3 Grand Prix.
This is the ohv mill as used in the trucks, yes? So this shouldn't have the discouraging news I kept hearing when I asked about the Bonnieville 4.6 V8, I hope.

Any problems noted with these cars that anyone's heard of?
They're starting to look like a good bargain, I'm seeing fairly low miles examples for 12 grand on up.

Also it seems a few went to fleet...oh well.

Thanks for any comments or history of folks who've owned them, from friends, or general reputation of this car reliability-wise.

Yes, I am aware this is FWD. Not interested in rehashing that debate yet again.
