What you've been told is not entirely true. Many 2004 models were equipped with the digital version, as is my Bravada. (Though for me, it's a moot point because I'm one of that asserted 35% that opted not to renew after the first year - To me, there isn't much it can do that a cell phone & 1-800-442-OLDS or 911 can't!  )
