I think you misunderstood what I said...
I wasn't talking about the situation
now. I mean the situation once they've successfully put F*rd and GM out of business and thus have no political need for plants in the US or Canada. (Don't forget: they built the North American plants in the first place because in the 80s, American/Canadian politicians WERE listening to the Big Three)
At that point, once there is no longer a danger of politicians doing subtle pro-GM/F*rd things, why would Toyota continue to keep US/Canadian plants? Either move production back to Japan, or, if they want cheap labour and lower transportation costs, build in Mexico. It's not like the politicians will be able to bring GM or F*rd back from the dead at that point...
