Plus, most of the units for sale on eBay are Theftlock, and need to be cleared at a dealership to work. You may be able to work around the Theftlock codes on older units, but the newer 6-disc and Nav radios actually learn a piece of the VIN of the car in which they are installed. If you reinstall it in your car, and the VIN doesn't match, the unit will not work unless it is cleared by the dealer computer. If it's a brand-new unit, you may not have that problem, but the amps do, to the best of my knowledge, still have to match up correctly. A quick Google search can give you more info on the install. Hope this helps, and I'm not off base - maybe one of the dealership guys on here can give you a better breakdown of the process. Good luck!

There are actually several nav units but from what I have researched the non-luxury model is 15800000. This works in most GM suvs with bose. The luxury one is 15800001. This works for luxury bose. I think its just a differnt powered amp. I called the dealer and they said its impossible but too many people have done it so I think they are wrong. The unit at the dealer costs $2982.00 and they are never in stock so $1000 on ebay is a steal.
I called the dealer about unlocking the unit and they said it would be $100 so I negotiated with the seller to have them unlock it for me. Should save some time and money.
I will keep all posted.
