I just don't see the point of a sport-truck. Dodge and Ford only sell something like 5000 of their hot trucks a year, so it's not like GM is missing out all that much. I love the current SS truck...it's a real, useable, 4wd, ext. cab truck, that is also pretty fast. Make the 6 speed available on it, that'd be great, even the 385 HP, that's cool too. But 500? with a short-box and reg. cab? 2WD? That's not a truck, it's a slow, heavy, gas-guzzling sports-car that can't handle.
Why not spend all that development money on making your truck the beefiest, strongest mamma-jamma in town, with mega-towing and payload capacity?
