I'm glad I got my 1.8t in 2004. I agree that the new Jettas are expensive if you want one with any sort of power.

Still, my main beef with the Civic is the styling, inside and out. What's worse is that split level speedo/tach setup, which won't age very well. It reminds me of alot of those GM interiors of the 80s. Those were the days...

I also don't like this general trend toward taller cars. I sat in a new Jetta GLI and I thought the dash resembled one in a minivan, the way it was tilted. Can't argue with the quality, though.
