Re: Question about the employee pricing for everyone deal
Smaller dealers really hate this GM employee thing because they don't have a lot of money to begin with. Large dealers on the other hand, love it because the extra units are just as valuable to them. So what I'm saying is, from what I've heard, some dealerships are playing games for one reason or another. But as it is designed from GM you should be able to walk into a reputable dealer and get the GM Employee price from them plus the rebates, add tax title and licence and have your no haggle out the door price.
GM Employee price is printed on the invoice. Ask to see it. If they won't show you, leave immediately because something is up. Thats is really the only thing you need to do to make sure it's on the up and up. Now, your probably not going to get as much for you trade as you are hoping for and its not the dealer just trying to screw you. You have to understand that they are selling you a new car for wholesale. That means thay can only give you wholesale for your trade, and since there isn't any extra money in the deal (mark up) they can't show you much of anything extra. Not to mention that the wholesale market has taken a nose dive do to the fact that all the new cars are being sold for wholesale and the market is being flooded with new cars. I'm not saying don't ask for more on your trade, always do that, but don't freak out when they can't show you much more.
