I remember when they decided to produce it. A huge factor in the decision was the overwhelmingly positive consumer response to it. GM basically listened to the feedback and by the time it arrived nobody wanted it.
Personally I think the LS2 SSR is an extremely cool ride, and I'm glad they built it like Chrysler did the Prowler and Ford did the Thunderbird. I guess it's forever destined to be completely unappreciated.
Holden Utes rock too, it's a real shame Chevrolet doesn't sell it here. Drives better than the GTO, it's more versatile, a bit cheaper, and a bit less heavy.
