Because GM is getting ready to introduce BAS V2.0 (at least, I hope).
We tend to neglect BAS. It's beautiful, simple, affordable and compact system.
Every non-bas hybrid midsize car has a small trunk. BAS is a system that doesn't sacrifice too much space and that most midsize car shoppers can afford.
