Part of the problem for Chevy/GM dealerships, will be floorplanning. NOBODY, except GMAC will floorplan for a GM or Chrysler dealership, right now.

Our local Ford store is owned by a family that owns a second Ford store in another small town............... a Toyota store in larger town................ and a GM mixed dealership in a small town (primarily Chevy). He could not get floorplanning for any of his dealerships, because he has the GM one. He had to reorganize his operations, splitting out the GM dealership............... and now has floorplanning money galore.

For GM and Chrysler dealerships, until GM gets out of BK................ and there is any kind of confidence in them at all, by the lenders............... getting the money to get cars/trucks will be real hard. Dealer trades will be the name of the game.
