Re: Review: 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

I read the review on this truck. My question is "what type of person would quote gas mileage from a gas engine on a diesel powered truck?" The 6.6 diesel can get up to 25 mpg highway and 17 city empty. I have done a lot of research on this truck on fuel economy and as a road tester this guy should learn to follow through. Why didn't he use the DIC for mileage. Yes I know that hand calculation is more accurate, This tester totally lost me with that observation. The Silverado and its Sierra counterpart are very good trucks, and I was glad to see that he recognized that part of the review. People who buy 3/4 ton diesel trucks either use them to tow RV's or for their work. And there are some diehard truck guys out there who buy diesel, just for a diesel.
My two cents worth, sorry about the rant.
