Great review.
In a somewhat similar, but also unique, way, in the past 7 months I went from a '95 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham to an '08 Pontiac G6 GT coupe that turned out to be a lemon to an '09 Chevy Malibu 2LT V6 that was mostly great but just didn't agree with me totally to, just as of the 13th, an '09 Pontiac G8 GT.
It's been most interesting to go from 2 Epsilon cars to a Zeta G8...well, in the lack of comparable sense, that is. Thankfully I never got to see the world of an Accord, Camry, etc. but absolutely agree with you on the G8--what a car, and finally, as my 3rd new GM vehicle in less than half a year, finally one that not only agrees with me but I love. Tank solid, rides beautifully, handles crisply, awesome and eerily silent power, decent economy, and RWD balance, all in a pretty affordable package. The V6 car is nothing to scoff at, for sure, even though the GT is the one that gets all the coverage. I know why, but still...best of luck with the G8, from someone in somewhat similar shoes
