I think Protons are stylish little cars, with a "tough-but-cute" look to them.
Plus, I'm the consummate champion of the underdog. I grew up in a third-world country (South Africa), so I have a lot of respect for companies out of emerging nations, who can now play on the porch with the big dogs!

I know, right? I really had to tip my hat at Proton for making an effort to rise out of the mundane in a span of about 25 years. I've always thought that their cars were kind of sporty for their class/competition, which is good because looks do play big in the sale of a car. Especially the Savvy; that's a pretty radical design for a subcompact, whereas most other subcompacts look "too cute" or out of proportion.
