I don't know how to feel about it. In general it's of course a bad thing.. but I wonder if maybe the Japanese aren't quietly making a statement regarding the new unimportance of the North American market. Perhaps it is to add insult to the already injured U.S. automakers.

It's strange that they would all pull out. Honda's probably just in it because they've gotten a minutia of press regarding their plant-towns in the US still providing jobs/etc.
