1. The transmission on my 2001 Impala broke at 125,000 miles, and I had all scheduled maintenance done. One of my friends had to replace the transmission on his Chevy Trailblazer at 45,000 miles.

2. Even if Edmunds did not do the recall themselves, the dealership should certainly have made them aware of the recall and installed it.
