Why can't the sportscar be fun as well?

A 9-8 was already suggested by Saab brass. Whether that comes true remains to be seen. Personally, I would like to see Saab revise the 9-5 extensively. It needs it badly.
9-8 would be a Phaeton competitor. But there is no existing platform in GM to do that just yet.

Never wondered why some buttoms are way they are on the control panel?

Of course that makes sense. Yet that's also what limited the Saab market in the first place. I think GM has to find that needed balance between quirkiness and conservativeness.
To me, the control panels of the Saab make perfect sense. Though some of the controls weren't as intuitive as I would have liked. I mean, I never have to look at a manual... but I had to for the climate control.

I always thought NightPanel was the most ridiculous thing in a car. And then I used it. And I just "got it."

V6, awd and so on. New 1.9 diesel made a very big boost countries like England.
You cant just make a "model", ppl wont buy model they buy spesific, propeties or what ever the correct word is. And model is just a shell/cortex.

While that is true, I don't believe Saab will be able to survive in the current auto industry without more than 2 models. Saab isn't a Ferrari or Lamborghini or a Porsche that can survive on limited models.
I would like to see a competent Saab crossover utility. THe 9-7X is nice, but it really needs to be a global vehicle, not one for the US market only. While I think 9-8 is a nice idea, I don't think there's a need for it just yet.
A 9-4 sports car and a BETTER 9-2 is what Saab needs. And where the heck is the 9-3X wagon???
