Madness... Ford management was right to reject this stupidity.

Ford's goal right now is to vastly reduce the complexity of its operations on a global basis, and to guard its cash reserves. Ford has the cash on hand to survive, thanks to prudent financial management, which is why I've always been perplexed that all the bad news is "GM and Ford", when in fact, their positions couldn't be more different.
