As for the interior, what's so wrong about the Orlando and Cruze sharing an interior? The Orlando is basically a big Cruze wagon. If I have the choice between lots of different crappy interiors or a smaller number of shared, nicer interiors, I'll take the nice ones. Why waste the money on a unique interior for the Orlando if the Cruze dash and door covers fit? It would be different if this was going to Pontiac or Cadillac or Buick, but we're talking about two models off the same platform for Chevrolet.

Not necessarily. Even w/the designers getting some of the power back to help GM gain more sales from the exterior looks of their cars/etc, doesn't mean that the beancounters aren't cutting corners elsewhere. Using virtually the same interior of one model(w/in the same brand or not) in another is not a good idea. The interior becomes a corporate interior, just like corporate radios being put in all models across all brands.
