2009 Cobalt SS Turbo...short drive and write

Well I just copied and pasted from the employee thread, but anyhow..

Very nice car

retailed for $28,930 as you can see, and had Sunroof, limited slip, etc for otions....CANADA REMEMBER, The pricing is outragous...anyhow...some pics of the car...

So...for the good...It goes, and goes and goes.....now relax all, I never went over 150 KILOMETERS an hour....which is someone, anyone...miles per hour..I think its about 90ish...and never took it out of third gear either..

first to second you have to be FAST, before you hit the floor with the throttle on take off its in the red almost, and it lets you know by a quick 'pop' 'pop' on the turbo, sounds cool none the less, anyhow if your fast you can and make sure you do hit the floor with the clutch and never let off, it wont miss a beat, and drops the RPM for a split second, as you hammer home second gear, but if you miss your toast..so as you pass 50kmh, and slam second, you get MILD turbo lag, which is prolly good or the tires would roast off, once you hit second with your foot still in it, a small chirp from the tires lets you know the turbo is spooled up and ready to go, and go it does, hitting 100 kmh in a hurry, passing 120 I found third, and still had some RPM to go, from here it just wants to go..I saw no need for a high MPH run, you can tell from the get go this thing will haul ass....

So how does it corner......like mad....I think this is mostly due to the seats, you dont fight the car, you just drive it, the seats which are the of the nicest from a production car I have sat in, ( keep in mind we dont have benz and bemer and the like in town for dealers either...) I used to love the civic seats as they wrap around your torso and hold you, well these seats are off the hook, cornering at 140, you dont move, you dont slide around, your there, low and almost like someone is holding you there..awsome, not sure on the leather/cloth/suede material, looks cool, is very nice, but different...

We have some brutal roads here and yes it is noticable, liek any small car on 18 and no sidewall, it is choppy, but never once did it feel like it was going to go on me, even cornering on bad frost heaves, like BAD, you really have to drive here to understand....anyhow, it ubsored them nice and stayed in line and on the road....Tire noise is there, no squeel, just road noise, but again our roads suck, on the nice newly paved stretches in town it was a dream...so you southerns will like it on the highway....

Wind noise is minamal, and the turbo whine is always nice to hear on hard acceleration. more pronounced the the SC was...speaking of SC how does it compare...well The turbo has longer legs for sure, and I mean you will get more speed between gears before needing to shift...the lag is so minamal, I dont think it will deter anyone, and once the turbo goes, it pulls harder in my opinion, NOT harder then the stage 3 SC I did, but hey its stock for now.

As for changes, not many, the interior is very familiar, they cleaned up hte front by closing the bottom section in, this was left open in the old SC version in Canada anyhow, The Brembo brakes are cool, and mean looking, and very effective, stops much fastly, which is good considering how fast it gets going. needs a USB port, not sure if this is an option, but I did miss that.

OH and it needs a center console as well in my opinion, I miss it when looking to rest my arm, the seat does a good job as it almost comes around enough to hold your arm, but still needs one.
