2007 had 400 HP LS2 V8. 2008 has LS3 with 436 HP (when optioned with dual-mode exhaust). For 2008 the shift linkage on the manual transmissions was revised to provide smoother action and the steering was tweaked to be more responsive.

Tweeked? All Corvettes get the ZR1's brand new variable rate steering rack, giving much better steering feel. So far every test has the 09 Z06 faster then 08.
