I know that the relatively small BMW 3 series has a massive sales volume and tremendous fan following.
But to me, a luxury sedan should be very spacious. Part of luxury, in my opinion, is the ability to stretch out, to have good visibility all around, and to easily fit adults in the back seat or easily fit an adult into the back seat temporarily while they strap a child into a car seat.
So in that respect, while a fully optioned Malibu LTZ has a host of sweet characteristics, I would still consider the DTS a much more luxurious car.
Since the STS is not substantially larger than the Malibu inside, it probably would not qualify.
