Costs would be cut down, as well as it can spread the costs of the navi, suspension, powertrain, etc etc vs Camaro and G8, as well as ST.

I would assume that early in the piece and agreement would have struck to utilise Ozs capacity to manufacture the HFV6 in a way to aid the business case for Zeta development as a whole. I would also have expected the available resources of Oshawa to be made use of in manufacturing another (presumably cancelled) Zeta product for NA.
The presumed cancellation may well affect the original agreement, but for the sake of Holdens viability, I would have to hope things stay as they are...with the DIV6 becoming the default SV6/Calais powertrain and the 5 speed 195 shifting to the lower commodore models.
