I wasn't aware the XL-7 had the 3.6 standard. We have the Equinox Sport with it ourselves. Got it for around $25,000 with rebates.
The 3.6 get's lower mpg though. So offering it only on the Sport and not the 'common' model most people buy is a good thing imo. So many people look at mpg #'s that I don't see offering the engine with lower #'s standard as something I'd consider 'better' than the Equinox.
Don't get me wrong, I think the XL-7 is a nice looking vehicle though.
