We are
NOT in a recession. We are in a slower growth period then we have been in the past. Recession, by definition, is two consecutive quarters of decline in our real GDP.
We have yet to encoutner this so everyone needs to stop throwing that word around to liberally (CNN and MSNBC - this means you). Our country's economy is still growing, just at a snails pace of where we were when the housing boom was happening as gas prices were in the $2 range.
Economic slow down yes, recession no...
