even if mileage gains with the auto arent as high they just need to be respectable. The cobalt gets 24/33 with the auto for 2009. Boost that by 10% and you have 27/36 for the auto which is better than corolla and civic and 10% sounds very conservative. Remember, the corolla was new for 2008 so it wont be redesigned for another 5-6 years.
