DIC wont tell your level of oil, just the life of the oil. What should have came up was a low oil light.
This goes along the lines of "Im low on oil, so i must need an oil change" mentality I see on a dailiy basis. Not related to the above poster, but if your oil light comes up, it doesnt mean you need an oil change.
