One thing people have to remember is that GM is in the middle of a cash crunch. There is not a lot of money for new trucks when they are being shunned. GM needs to make due with things they have and dropping a turbocharged 4 in a full size is not a horrible idea.

This is the new reality folks. The truck market could be dead for good if things don't reverse themselves soon.
