Re: ZR1 Nurburgring Video

I love in car video. I'm looking at getting something similar for my '02 Z06. And pretty nice driving for an engineer. I can see the spot where Jan Magnussen got airborne last year. Jan **** his pants and wanted out of the car.

But man, was he getting loads of oversteer on corner exit. If that car was mid-engined he could probably be more on the throttle past apex. I'm saying this car could be faster than the 7:26 they got. I only get to a few tracks each summer and don't consider myself an expert. But I could feel that when I drove the current Z06 at a driving school back-to-back with the C5 Z06. This ZR1 must be even worse.

AWD would also help that. But to me, that's cheating. I think this 'bad boy' needs to be mid-engined to help put more of that +600HP to work.

I don't believe a mid-engined Corvette is sacriledge. I believe it's just the next logical progression to keep it among the worlds best.
