The CTS interior design IS better - but that's about all the CTS offers over the Genesis. Remember, "looks" are subjective - and cannot be counted here. Otherwise, I agree - all Cadillacs looks nicer than the Genesis - even the DTS (I love the DTS).

The only Cadillacs that are in the same class as the Hyundai Genesis are the Cadillac STS (I suppose), the DTS (size-wise, certainly) and - well - that's about it. The CTS is just too small. Remember, the Genesis is S-Class / 7-Series sized... Even the STS in kinda too small for a good comparison - but we'll throw it in there anyway.
Comparing Genesis to a specific Cadillac gets in to the same dillema of comparing the CTS to a specific BMW or Mercedes. Should it be based on price or size? Most people here seem to prefer comparing by size, while most auto magazines seem to go by price.

If we go by size, the STS and DTS would be closest comparisons, as you said. Compared to the STS, the genesis seems to be lacking the high-end features that you can't get in a mass market car (I listed a few of these in the prior post). The Genesis does have more power than a base STS, but if you want more power, the STS has the V option. So far (only based on pictures), the Genesis interior is a let-down for me. The Infiniti inspired dash does nothing for me, and the old-fashioned digital clock just below the nav display sticks out like sore thumb. Plus there are lots of nits I could pick on the interior, but I'd rather wait until I see in person. Even the sub-par (for the class) STS interior looks much better to my eyes.

Compared to the DTS, the Genesis will likely fair well. I've never been a big fan of the DTS, and don't really have many positives to say about it.

I disagree that the interior design is the only positive for the CTS. While subjective, exterior design and brand image are probably the two most important aspects of a luxury vehicle. The only aspect (again, on paper) the Genesis has a clear edge in is power, and that's only if you exclude the CTS-V.

I'm not saying the Genesis isn't a good car. But that's just the price of edmission to the luxury club.
