Well I expected that from someone. Redemption limits are fluid and have less to do with rules, and a lot more to do with how much GM decides to "allow" on one vehicle or another.
As for the "don't complain" part, that only makes sense in a vacuum, where no other card deals are available out there. My Upromise card is also "no fee". If you choose not to look at other deals, then I'm sure that you will be happy and content even if GM lowers the redemptions across the board on all vehicles to even lower than where they are now.
Because someone who does not care to cross shop what other cards are offering and will stick with the GM card regardless is someone who's going to regard the rewards with a shrug as a "bonus" and see using the card as a sign of loyalty to GM. I'm not that nonchalant about how I manage my money.
That's fine for a small segment of the population, but it won't win or keep new card users who are not GM loyalists.
