Power: Genesis compared to regular Cadillacs, Cadillac if you include the Vs.
Other categories that matter (to me at least) in a luxury vehicle:
Exterior design/style: All Cadillacs except DTS
Interior design: CTS, XLR, SRX better. Maybe STS as well.
Interior materials: Don't know yet
Handling: Don't know yet
Brand image: Cadillac
As I said in another thread, the only real reason to buy a Genesis over a MB, BMW, Cadillac, Lexus etc. is price. So it will draw people who aren't luxury buyers, but just want the features at the lowest possible price. And Hyundai knows this as well -- I remember a review where a Huyndai official said they see the competition as Chrysler 300, Pontiac G8 etc.

Thank you for a rare / reasonable response... Which Cadillac sedan do you feel compares best to the Hyundai Genesis? I know all the models offer specifics - like the V-Series offers power, for example.. But that's not a "whole package". The CTS interior design IS better - but that's about all the CTS offers over the Genesis. Remember, "looks" are subjective - and cannot be counted here. Otherwise, I agree - all Cadillacs looks nicer than the Genesis - even the DTS (I love the DTS).
The only Cadillacs that are in the same class as the Hyundai Genesis are the Cadillac STS (I suppose), the DTS (size-wise, certainly) and - well - that's about it. The CTS is just too small. Remember, the Genesis is S-Class / 7-Series sized... Even the STS in kinda too small for a good comparison - but we'll throw it in there anyway.
