That being said, the APEAL ratings do not forecast future demand. All they do is gauge advertising impact and how much of a splash a new model has made.The Camry hasn't been on the list for 3 years now. Last year Saturn was the second highest riser- how did that work out for them? Two years ago, the Chevy Monte Carlo was runner up in sporty car.

Plane, I believe that the 6th generation (current) Camry was officially released as a MYR 2007 on 1OCTOBER2007. <Late add -this is wrong - this is the date for the MYR2008 release. The current 6th gen Camry deliveries started sometime between 3MARCH2006 and 3April2006 as MYR 2007s. >
It is somewhat more difficult to pin down accurately exactly when the 2009 was 'officially' and 'finally' released.
