I only ever buy manual myself, but when I did drive a Falcon XR6T a while back, the auto was great and I wasn't missing the manual at all, but we Aussies understand your pain. The G8 should have been released 6 months AFTER the launch of the VE with a manual tranny offered, but this is GM we are talking about who can take a great car and make it look half baked.
