I agree. It doesn't seem like a big deal to drop one in.

The LS1 GTO with six-speed was rated 6 mpg better than the four-speed automatic, however when the LS2 was dropped in, they were both rated at the Auto's 21 mpg. Therefore you can't say for sure it would improve MPG. You also get why I bought an 04 model!
