I don't think BMW stays awake at night wondering whether to offer a manual trans based on take-rate or focus groups and Pontiac shouldn't either. They need to lead or get out of the way. The time for trying to follow has passed.

It doesn't surprise me that a sports car has a high MT rate, but the G8 is no sports car. And Pontiac isn't even close to being a BMW. Pontiac's competition is Nissan or Mazda. Look at how many MT they sell. Not many.
