Maybe it's because of my age (53) but when I was a kid, Chevy was one of the "low priced three" along with Ford and Plymouth, and accordingly a lack of prestige compared to Pontiac, Mercury, Dodge, etc. My dad drove Buicks. Chevy was a poorer man's car...that's why I don't really want a Chevy.
