When Saturns were selling relatively well (GM even claimed a Saturn profit around '93 or '94), they were selling the "plastic" cars.
Is Saturns reputation problem really related to the plastic cars? I always got the impression that people liked them, with their dent-resistent sides. That was when the brand was known for great customer service as well.
I don't know what Saturn's perception problem stems from. Just years of neglect and falling out off the public's radar?
