with 3.42 gears, it does nothing. 6th gear is .67 in a 6l80e vs 4th in the 4l60e, which is .70. that drops rpms a whopping 4 - 5% in top gear cruising. they should have went from a 3.42 to a 3.00 gear, the low gears in the 6l80e more than compensate.
