I can understand extra weight. But one piece of luxury is using aluminum and special high strength steels and steel alloys in place of the cheaper metals used in lesser vehicles. As it is, the Taurus Limited AWD has a better power to weight ratio than a Lincoln costing at least $10,000 more.
