Moving on........whats the next trend? And does the G8 ST and G8 wagon suddenly make a lot more sense for those seeking utility?

You need to understand that 20% of Full Size truck sales are Fleet with a large amount to Commercial and Governments both of whom are cutting back on purchases.
Also with a huge drop in vacation plans the need for a new truck to pull that boat or trailer to a getaway is not there, you can blame gas prices for this drop and reluctance of buyers but the housing market and bad economy are also factors, so Full Size Truck sales will rebound better than many think.
They may not get quite to the point that they were but will remain major players with all the manufacturers who build them.
Full size BOF SUV sales peaked before this year and the move to Crossovers has been there for a while - the troubling thing is that there are few buyers out there for cars and it will get worse - even for those who had gains this month, the economy is going nowhere but down and all retail sales will follow.
