Pontiac is merely reacting in the short term which makes sense in this very volatile market. Would you rather a Pontiac dealer pick up some sales, or the Honda/Toyota dealership down the street?

Assuming the "G3" is for real and coming to the local P-B-G dealership...No-one is going to choose a re-badged Aveo Pontiac G3 over a Fit or even the ugly Yaris. They may choose it over the Aveo but then what's the point of that. All this is going to do is make the job of turning Pontiac into a niche value sports division all the more difficult.
