GM really didnt have any other options but to change their testing procedure. The Europeans as well as the Japanese has now opted for the Sport Auto Nurburgring lap.

The thing that stood out for me and made me question the whole article was. a A harness bar can be quite different from a roll cage. What both have pointed out though was that this change didnt add to performance or chassis strength.

-(FROM AN UNKNOWN SOURCE) there was a four-point roll cage bolted into the car

-(FROM GM) The car had a harness bar upon which a 6-way racing safety belt system was mounted.
